Hotel Arenas Del Mar

Hotel Arenas Del Mar

These are happy and proud moments for Costa Rica as two of its hotels have been selected and appear in some of the most prestigious international magazines dedicated to tourism; Condé Nast Traveler and Andrew Harper y Travel + Leisure chose the hotel El Silencio, located in the Alajuela Province, Valverde Vega, and the hotel Arenas del Mar in Manuel Antonio in the Central Pacific Coast, for their stylish luxury, divine cuisine in their stunning natural settings. This is part of an evaluation that took part in a wide world basis; hotels from the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East Australia and the Pacific competed. Only 9 hotels were selected in Latin America, of which one in Brazil, two in Chile, four in Argentina and of course, these two hotels here in Costa Rica.

This is the second consecutive year that Costa Rican hotels are selected; last year the Xandari in Playa Esterillos and the Gaia Hotel and Reserve in Manuel Antonio were the selected ones. Apparently reporters were sent incognito in hotels all over the world so that they could make a fair evaluation of the standards and quality that they offer, of their tours, their services and their cuisine. So far Conde has nominated 130 hotels since 2005.

The Conde was impressed with the sustainable luxury of el Silencio, and its avant-garde attitude towards ecotourism. Its setting in the middle of the exuberance of the cloud forest has it as a winner for peace and quality. It has been listed in the top 30 of the best hotels of the world by Travel + Leisure that describes it as one of the best country hotel, offering a perfect balance between the natural and the luxury.

Arenas del Mar was Chosen by Conde more particularly for its dashing cuisine, its gorgeous setting in total harmony with its beautiful surrounding, stunning views over the pacific ocean and comfort. Andrew Harper chose it for the very same reasons, adding that the proximity of the National Park of Manuel Antonio add to its perfection as a hotel offering everything a tourist may dream of; a comfortable stay in luxury, fantastic views, beautiful pristine beaches and a national park all a walking distance away.

Within the last decade, Costa Rica has really showed the world that it can provide an excellent service while preserving its flora and fauna and caring for its environment. A pioneer in ecotourism, it has also really improved the quality of its customer service, providing the tourists with trained staff, outstanding cuisine in an unequalled setting. It has surpassed itself in providing luxury in total harmony with nature and is always looking for ways to improve the quality of its client stay; it has tried harder provide them with more activities such as tours that can teach the world about the fragile beauty of its ecosystem and how it can be enjoyed without leaving a mark. Well-done Costa Rica.
