Project in Costa Rica is declared best international project of the year by Builders & developers alliance


(The Journal-www.journalcr.com) Costa Rica stood out brightly at the, Advancement Community Awards, beating out the world’s most extraordinary projects. This award is the most important in the international real estate industry and honoring the name of the country. Nominees were over 2,300 projects and companies from 5 continents. The project Wyndham Jaco Beach in Costa Rica was elected winner in the category “Best International Project of the Year” by Builders & Developers Alliance (DBA). The prize was awarded last Saturday, November 8 during a gala ceremony of the “DBA’s 2008 Community Advancement Awards” in the luxurious facilities of Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by Donald Trump. The event began on Friday, 7 with an international conference where the panelists focused on social, environmental and financial current issues. The award was given to Mr. Fuad Farach A., Fuad Farach Caldera and Javier Angel president, general manager and architect of the company “Grupo Rica Costa” of the hands of Evangeline Goulet, Chairman and CEO of Skyline Equities Realty and president of DBA. The prize is awarded annually to the most outstanding project worldwide, is delivered based on a rigorous selection process conducted by a panel of jurors recognized worldwide. This year’s jury was composed by the architect Zaha Hadid of Zaha Hadid architects, Francesco Valletta of FIABCI; Jose Machiavelo of ETINAR and members of DBA. Other winners of the night were the architect David Fisher of “Dinamic Architecture”, as architect of the year for his revolutionary dynamic towers, SARAYA AQABA of Saudi Arabia for the best Master Plan of 617,000 m2 in Aqaba, Jordan and SEAWOODS DEVELOPMENT of India as the best developer for their project sustainable Seawoods of over 40 acres. Developers & Builders Alliance is an international organization comprised of leaders in the largest real estate developments, construction companies and related industries.

Listening to the name of Costa Rica on a stage like this is very exciting ... “ The winning project, Wyndham Jaco Beach - Resort and Condominium is a five-star beachfront condo-hotel located in the town of Jaco, Puntarenas in the central Pacific of Costa Rica, in its election DBA considered its innovative, modern and harmonious design that allows full ocean view from any spot of the units.

Designed by architect Javier Angel, Wyndham highlights from now on as a representative project of the country, its construction will start in the first quarter of 2009 and will come into operation at the end of 2010. On November 11 “Grupo Rica Costa” presented in the Real Intercontinental Hotel the project and award to businessmen, developers, friends and colleagues.
